Cédric Havard is a Belgian composer whose work navigates the borderlands between contemporary classicism and deeply personal expression. Trained at the Brussels Royal Conservatory, he has composed for major Belgian and European ensembles.
His music has been described as possessing a rare combination of structural rigour and lyrical warmth.
⬇ Download PDF bioBorn in Brussels, Cédric Havard began studying piano and music theory at the age of seven before entering the Royal Conservatory of Brussels where he graduated with honours in composition, counterpoint and orchestration.
His catalogue encompasses over sixty works. His first opera, Le Silence des Hérons, premiered at the Opéra Royal de Wallonie in 2022 to critical acclaim.
